The need for hybrid cars

Since the conception of the car, the engineers and designers sought was to make them more efficient and save on fuel consumption . Petrol fuels the majority of vehicles and diesel fuel is used in heavier automotive equipment. The internal combustion engine is considered an important if not the largest source of environmental pollution and the cost of fuel increases every day. With a constant increase in fuel costs and environmental concerns regarding automobiles, vehicle engineers had to develop more economic and safer alternative for the environment to the internal combustion engine that powers most cars. This led to the birth of the hybrid automobile. These hybrid cars offer a number of advantages. The hybrid vehicle is a car which is powered by both an electric motor and a gasoline engine. Compared to non-hybrid vehicles, the hybrid car saves on fuel costs by being more fuel efficient and has a low fuel consumption rate.Hybrid cars operate in dual mode with the electric motor, powered by batteries, takes the relay once the gasoline engine got the car up to speed. Braking and deceleration generates energy that is used to recharge the batteries of the electric motor. This system allows the hybrid car to provide better energy efficiency. This also means that the engine of a hybrid vehicle is stopped when the vehicle is stopped. Considered the biggest advantage to the hybrid car is the reduction of environmental pollution due to a reduction in carbon dioxide and other harmful gases in our atmosphere. Automobile manufactures such as Honda, Toyota and Ford have already introduced hybrid car models in the commercial market and several others are in development.
Currently, there are two types of hybrid vehicles on the market. The first is the "series" hybrid. A battery powered electric motor of the series hybrid car powers. It also has a gasoline engine, but it has no power singularly the vehicle. Engine powers a gasoline generator which is in turn used to charge the batteries of the electric motor. The electric motor is left in the vehicle entire operation but the gasoline engine can be enabled or disabled depending on the vehicle needs. This type of hybrid car offers improved consumption in urban traffic. The second type of hybrid vehicle on the market is called the hybrid "parallel". The parallel hybrid car, like the type of series, has a gasoline engine and an electric motor. The electric motor and the electric motor can both be used to transform the transmission and the power of the vehicle. The main difference between the two types of hybrid cars is that the parallel hybrid uses its electric motor to increase vehicle power when needed to increase the speed of the car. The parallel hybrid car is considered best suited for the open road.hybrid vehicles offer several advantages due to some unique characteristics. The construction of the hybrid vehicle uses lighter materials than traditional automobile. This saves energy by using less to propel the hybrid car. Hybrid cars also increase energy efficiency because of their more aerodynamic shapes. The tires used by hybrid vehicles operate on a higher pressure and are made of a material more rigid than the car tires in general. The higher pressure helps to increase fuel efficiency of vehicles per gallon of gasoline used. The overall vehicle efficiency is increased by these tires, because they reduce the friction on road surfaces and provided with a handle. The braking system provided with a transfer electric motor energy to vehicle batteries each time the brakes are applied. Consumption overall essence of a hybrid varies from model to model. The EPA test numbers indicate that the Lexus RX400h receives 31 MPG in the city and 27 MPG highway while the Honda Insight gets 61 MPG in the city and 68 mpg on the highway.
In conclusion, the future of the automobile is currently the hybrid car and buy a hybrid vehicle will not only you to save money, but you will also take responsibility and make you participate in creating a safer, cleaner and greener environment.
